Authors Conduct Lively Discussion on Reviving Labor
On Wednesday, June 4th, the National Labor College featured authors Phil Dine and Bill Fletcher Jr. as part of its spring 2008 semester student/faculty forum. Dine is the author of State of the Unions: How Labor Can Strengthen the Middle Class, Improve our Economy and Regain Political Influence (McGraw-Hill, 2007). Fletcher is the author of Solidarity Divided: the Crisis in Organized Labor and A New Path Toward Social Justice (University of California Press, 2008). Students, faculty and staff participated in lively discussion on the forum’s topic: Blueprinting Labor’s Revival: The Way Forward. Following the event, the authors signed copies of their new books.
