| Lesson 6: Cut or Copy, then Paste
Overview
Occasionally you may want to move an entire paragraph or section of a document to a new page. The Cut and Paste commands allow you to move sections of text from one location to another easily. Or you may want to duplicate a section of text that has already been entered another page. The Copy and Paste commands allow you to copy text from one location to another – no retyping. The Cut, Copy and Paste commands can be accessed from the menu bar, toolbar, keyboard or right-click menu.
The Cut, Copy and Paste commands can be used in other Windows contexts. For example, you can copy and paste folders from one location to another. Moreover, you can copy and paste information from Microsoft Word to another Windows application.
This tutorial demonstrates in Word how to cut and copy text from one location and paste it elsewhere.
