| Lesson 3: Creating and Saving Documents
Overview
The Start menu is located at the bottom of the taskbar. It is used to open program applications, such as Microsoft Word. Double-clicking program shortcuts on the desktop, also opens program applications. The menu bar provides an option to save your work when you are done.
This tutorial demonstrates the use the Start menu to open a blank Word document. It demonstrates how to use the File menu to Save the document to the My Documents folder, including how to name the document.
