Tuition Rates $235.00 per credit hour for AFL-CIO affiliated union members and members of Working America. $285.00 per credit hour for non AFL-CIO affiliated union members. $1,360.00 per credit hour for non-union members.
Materials Fees Fees vary per course and range from $25 to $90. Call the Office of the Registrar at 301-431-5417 for more information.
Refund Policy Students enrolled in a Union Skills course are permitted to drop up to two weeks prior to the first scheduled day of class with a full refund and without any indication on their transcript. Students must notify the Registrar’s Office in writing or electronically if they intend to drop a class. Failure to drop a class does not eliminate a student’s financial obligation for the registered course(s).Any student who has registered for a Union Skills course and who has not officially dropped the course, and who does not attend every scheduled class session shall be assigned a grade of "NC" (no credit). No refund will be granted.
All courses take place at the National Labor College in Silver Spring, MD unless otherwise noted.
The following courses are open to the general public. Courses open only to AFL-CIO Building and Construction Trades Department (BCTD) union members are listed seperately below this list.

The following courses are offered in conjunction with the Building and Construction Trades Department (BCTD) of the AFL-CIO. These courses are only open to BCTD members including Ironworkers, Insulators, Boilermakers, IBEW, Teamsters, Bricklayers, Elevator Constructors, Painters, Laborers, Plasterers and Cement Masons, Sheet Metal Workers, Plumbers/Pipefitters, and Roofers.
*Course is held at the IUPAT in Hanover, MD.
