On May 1, 2014, over 200 students began participating in the NLC teach out program; these students are currently taking courses at either Empire State College (part of the State University of New York), Penn State University, Thomas Edison State College or Rowan University. Those students who complete their degree requirements by December 31, 2015 will receive NLC degrees. Paula Peinovich, President and Jeff Bria, Registrar, will be available throughout the remainder of the teach-out to assist students with completing degrees.
On July 30, 2014 the campus was sold to the Amalgamated Transit Union who will move their headquarters to the former NLC campus as well as establish a training center. Everyone is delighted that our beautiful campus will stay in the labor family.
On August 15, 2014, the National Labor College officially moves its offices to the AFL-CIO in Washington, DC, which will be the home office for NLC through-out the remainder of the teach out which ends on December 31, 2015. The new address for NLC is:
