
Diane has been a labor organizer for more than 20 years. She previously worked for the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association, the Missouri Nurses Association, and Service Employees International Union (District 1199 NE, Locals 285 and 615). Diane’s scholarly research examines worker rights in comparative perspective, drawing on international labor standards and human rights law. Her work appears in Advances in Industrial and Labor Relations, the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal, and the American University International Law Review, as well as in edited volumes published by the ILO and UNESCO. Diane received a PhD in International Comparative Employment Relations from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics from UMass-Amherst.
