Carol came to the College from the AFL-CIO in 1995. She held the positions of shop steward and assistant shop steward for many years and is currently an associate member of OPEIU Local 2. Carol graduated with a BA from NLC in 2000 with a double major in Labor Studies and Labor Safety and Health. While a student she served as an executive board member and as secretary-treasurer of the student union. Carol holds a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Development/Knowledge Management from George Mason University.

Simone Roundtree, Admissions Assistant

Simone has held many positions at NLC over the last 13 years. She started at the front desk and later went on to work in conference services before her most recent position with the Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training Program. She joined the admissions team in January of 2013. She is currently a student in the Business Administration program and an active member of OPEIU Local 2. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Jason McGinnis joined the admissions team in 2012, having previously worked as NLC's bursar since 2008. Because of his work at Howard County Community College as a financial aid counselor, Jason is the financial aid guru within admissions. A California native, Jason is a Purdue University graduate. He is a proud member and steward of OPEIU Local 2.

Kristy started at NLC in August of 2012 after working at both the AFL-CIO and AFT. She graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of CA, San Diego, and moonlighted as a substitute teacher before receiving a graduate degree in Social Psychology with a focus on women's health from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her fellow A-Team members will tell you that she's not afraid to speak her mind and that she's a chain diet-coke drinker. On weekends she cooks, camps, and dreams of being on the TV show "Chopped." She is a member of OPEIU Local 2.

After working in Admissions and Event Coordination at the University of Maryland College Park, Leslie joined NLC in April of 2011 and is now a proud member of OPEIU Local 2. She graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a double major in English and History and went on to work as a paralegal before entering the world of higher education. In 2010, Leslie received a master's degree from the University of Maryland in Higher Education Administration. Fun Fact about Leslie: You can spell her first name in a calculator by typing in 317537 and then turning the calculator upside down.
