If you’re looking to beef up your skills in Organizing, Arbitration or Contract Negotiation, sign up and pay before July 1, 2012, to save at least $70 per class. But don’t take our word for it…

Lark Escobar, an AFGE union steward, believes that taking the April Negotiating and Writing Contract Language Course was the best choice she’s made as a steward.

“This class is essential for newer union stewards,” says Lark. “It equips you with the knowledge and tools to begin or refine your negotiation and contract writing skills.”

Lark felt the course was relevant, intensive, and immediately useful. “I am so much better equipped to approach things strategically and with confidence,” says Lark.

Knee-Deep in Demands

Lark knew that she wanted to take the class at NLC, even though she lives and works in San Antonio, Texas. With little locally based training or guidance, Lark says she needed this class as she is “knee-deep” in real-world demands.

Lark knows that being a steward can be like another full time job. The Bonnie Ladin Union Skills Courses help you to make the most of your time both during and after the class.

NLC is the leading (and in many ways, only) resource for academic credentialing and training for Union Stewards who are seeking training and education by distance learning and flexible schedules.

If you missed out on the Spring course, don’t despair, it’s being offered again in October. See the full calendar of courses.
