WELCOME to the Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training
Program's web site. This site is dedicated to rail workers
and rail hazmat issues, and was developed with funding
from the National Institute of Environmental Health
Sciences (NIEHS). The Rail Worker program receives funding
from the North American Railway Foundation (NARF) to
support peer instruction for hazardous materials and
radiological transportation training.
The Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training
Program also receives funding from the US Department
of Transportation to conduct Hazmat Instructor Train
the Trainer courses (for rail workers who have completed
four or five-day hazmat training) at the National Labor
College/George Meany Campus in Silver Spring, Maryland

COURSES - Applications are being accepted for
hazardous materials, hazmat instructor training, and
radiological transportation training courses offered
at the National Labor College at the George Meany Center
