WELCOME to the Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training Program's web site
This site is dedicated to rail workers and rail hazmat issues, and was developed with funding from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). NIEHS funding also provides hazardous materials training and radiological transportation courses on the NLC campus and in the field.
The Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training Program also receives funding from the US Department of Transportation to conduct Hazmat Instructor Train the Trainer courses at the National Labor College/George Meany Campus in Silver Spring, Maryland. This training is offered to rail workers who have completed the pre-requisite training. (See Course Dates for more information and training schedule).
