About the ArchivesThe Southwest Labor History Archives is sponsored by the Southwest Organizing School and the National Labor College (NLC). For several years, the Southwest Organizing School has published the Southwest Labor History Calendar. We have decided to convert the Southwest Labor History Calendar into an archive on the NLC web site. This will allow us to make available to all of you a permanent collection of Southwest photos and dates of Southwest labor events. We are including many photos and dates of events that were in the 2002 and 2003 calendars, but we want the Archives to grow. So that depends on all of us. Send us union photos and dates of significant union events. If you are cleaning out your union hall don't throw away those old pictures - send them to us. If you go to a local labor event, bring your camera and take some photos! We will try to post them, too. We can't post everything, but will post as much as we can. Remember, history is anything that has already happened, so recent events are also welcome. Mail your photos to Southwest Labor History Archives, P.O. Box 9034, Santa Fe, NM 87504 or email them to simon@santafe-newmexico.com. If you have any questions about the Southwest Organizing School, please call Morty Simon, Carol Oppenheimer, or Robin Gould at 505-992-8477 or e-mail simon@santafe-newmexico.com. To receive newsletters via e-mail with the latest information about the Southwest Organizing School program subscribe to our mailing list. |
